Starting April 2021, Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) will begin exporting the Honda XRM125 to New Zealand. An ideal motorcycle that is suited for both on and off-road use, the Philippine-made XRM125 aims to cater the needs of dairy and livestock industry workers.
“We see the exportation of these motorcycle units as the perfect opportunity to put Philippine-made motorcycles on the map since we can also consider ourselves as a motorcycle-riding country. It can also help the economy recover as we hope this opportunity can provide and sustain jobs in the manufacturing industry in the future,” said HPI President Susumu Mitsuishi.
The XRM125 is a unique Honda motorcycle model made exclusively in the Philippines whose demand has also risen outside the country. Over 1.83 million units of XRM motorcycles have been produced since its introduction in December 2001.
XRM125 is an ideal bike for New Zealand’s agriculture industry workers with its fuel-injected 125cc PGM-Fi engine with under cowl for added protection. Along with its handlebars, knuckle guard, and front fender, it is perfect for off-road use and longer rides with its 3.9L tank capacity and 65.4km/L fuel consumption, based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC). It also has other features that can help industry workers with their transportation needs in their profession, like its spacious utility-box, pillion step, muffler, sporty CRF-inspired headlight, and equipped with digital meter panel.
Its riders also get to ride in style with its techno sport-inspired decals and color variations of Ceramic Gray, Dark Green, Fighting Red, and Aura Blue. The Honda XRM125 is locally available with a retail price ranging from Php67,900 to Php73,600.
HPI’s venture to put Philippine-made motorcycles on the map and provide more opportunities for the economy is in line with Honda’s ONE DREAM campaign, which aims to help fulfill Filipino’s dreams through the joy of mobility brought by Honda motorcycles.
