The new addition to the PAL fleet is the first of six A350s that the flag carrier ordered from Airbus SE. PAL president Jaime Buatista led the list of PAL executives who picked up the new aircraft in France.
The airplane has a three-class configuration seating 295 passengers, including 30 in business class, 24 in premium economy and 241 in the economy cabin.
When the rest of the A350s are delivered, these will be used by the flag carrier in their long-haul, non-stop destinations to Europe.
The A350-900 is Airbus SE’s wide-body jet that is specifically designed for ultra long-range flights, with the A350-900 ULR having a range of 9,700 nautical miles or 17,900 kilometers.
