Gone are the days when we have to go out of our way to buy food and deliver goods. With the rise of courier riders in the country, our lives became easier, especially during the strange and difficult times of the pandemic. And, while we alienate ourselves from the people, it is them who braved the streets to bring us our needs.
Like any of the other heroes, they too deserve appreciation.
Last July 6, 2022, Spyder Helmets, officially distributed by Roshan Commercial Corporation (RCC), held its 1st Official Breakfast Ride for Courier Riders at Wyndells Al Fresco Dining, Tanay Rizal.
RCC is a Philippine-based trading and distribution enterprise with over 30 years in the industry and has evolved into an omnichannel marketing operation with a strong presence in retail locations, e-commerce avenues, and dealers across the country. The brand, Spyder, originally developed for the Asian market has a unique product and pricing concept that has made it a strong global contender in the sports industry.
Considering the hefty price of gasoline, Spyder gave free gasoline to more than 50 riders from different delivery service brands at Smart Fuel gas station before heading to the restaurant where a sumptuous meal awaits.
In less than an hour, courier riders arrived at Wyndells and were officially welcomed by Kaira Chatlani, VP for Admin & Logistics, RCC.
“You, our courier riders have been risking their lives every day for us by ensuring that our package is delivered safely. We truly appreciate and value the hard work of our modern-day heroes. Hence, we want to be active in the community and create programs to promote safety and camaraderie” says Kaira Chatlani, VP for Admin & Logistics.
“It has been our goal as a brand to develop quality products for the riders through constant innovation. We want them to feel comfortable on the street as well as on the track” She adds.
Lucky attendees also had a chance to meet and greet the newly-elected Senator JV Ejercito, also known to be one of the most notable influences in the riding community.
“Maraming Salamat to Spyder for holding events like this for our courier riders. Thank you also to our courier riders whom I call our “pandemic heroes”, who helped us with our economy during those hard times” says Sen JV.
He adds “I am also happy to share that 2 of the top 20 priority bills I proposed are for the motorcycle riders – the RFID Scanner System and allowing the use of motorcycles as public utility vehicles.”
With both Spyder and Sen JVE, the future is bright for our modern-day heroes.
