Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) successfully launched MPTC Lakbay Pinas, a groundbreaking media tour designed to highlight the seamless and efficient travel offered by its expansive expressway network.
Held from November 4 to 9, 2024, the event brought together selected media professionals and content creators for an immersive journey showcasing the connectivity and convenience of MPTC’s tollways. Participants explored key routes in South Luzon (via CALAX-CAVITEX), North Luzon (via NLEX-SCTEX-NLEX Connector), and Cebu (via CCLEX), underscoring the critical role of MPTC infrastructure in unlocking tourism and economic opportunities across the Philippines.
“MPTC Lakbay Pinas highlights our unwavering commitment to public service by delivering efficient and hassle-free travel experiences for Filipinos,” said Rogelio “Babes” Singson, MPTC President and CEO. “Through this initiative, we aim to support tourism, promote local culture, and foster economic growth.”
MPTC Senior Executive Arrey Perez echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the tour’s transformative impact. “This initiative showcases how our tollways connect communities and drive local development, positioning us as key enablers of progress in tourism and transportation.”
Participants experienced South Luzon’s offerings through a visit to the MPTC South Hub, a tour of CALAX, and a coffee-making activity in Amadeo, Cavite. In North Luzon, they explored Clark’s vibrant landmarks, including the Clark Museum and Gemik Clark Sports Club, before flying via Clark International Airport to Cebu. There, they immersed themselves in the coastal charm of Gilutongan Island and Nalasuan Marine Sanctuary.
