The Suzuki Big Bikers Club of the Philippines (SBB) recently celebrated a decade of camaraderie and shared passion for big bikes. The commemoration event brought together approximately 70 Suzuki Big Bike enthusiasts on the morning of March 2, embarking on a memorable ride to Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point in San Fernando La Union, with a stopover at the scenic Pinewoods Country Club in Baguio City. Covering a distance of 285 kilometers, the journey showcased the impressive capabilities of Suzuki Big Bikes, combining freeway cruising and thrilling twisties that highlighted their power, performance, comfort, maneuverability, and control—all contributing to the enduring bond between riders and their Suzukis.
Established in 2014, SBB was founded by the former President and current Consultant Edwin Matthew Cua in collaboration with Mr. Roscoe Odulio, the Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Wheeltek Nationwide Corporation. This partnership marked Wheeltek’s successful venture into the big bike market, with Suzuki being the preferred motorcycle brand of the Wheeltek group. The recent celebration not only honored the club’s ten years of existence but also emphasized the strong partnership between Wheeltek and Suzuki, solidifying their long-standing relationship.

The festivities culminated at the picturesque Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point, set against the backdrop of a breathtaking La Union sunset on the veranda resembling Santorini, where attendees indulged in a delightful feast accompanied by lively music. The event featured captivating photo slideshows chronicling SBB’s decade-long journey, including their local and international rides and activities. The occasion also marked the appointment of new officers tasked with upholding SBB’s core values and mission, with Mr. Joey Oriola assuming the role of President, Mr. Marvin Chua as Vice President, Ms. Mhae Javier overseeing Suzuki Big Bikes Center Makati, Mr. Ronald Marcaida as Treasurer, and Mr. Edwin Cua continuing as Consultant.
The induction of officers was graced by key personalities from Wheeltek, including Vice President Roscoe Odulio, Regional Manager Elmer Olayo, and Suzuki Big Bikes branch managers, along with Suzuki executives led by Mr. Joey Salavarria, Division Head for Motorcycle Sales and Marketing, Mr. Roland Raymundo, Big Bikes Group Head, and Ms. Mary Ann Garcia, Big Bikes Supervisor. The event also attracted media and vlogger friends, such as Visor, RidePH, Motor ni Juan, InangMoto, and Jet Lau Rider, adding to the festive atmosphere and camaraderie.
With over 100 members, SBB stands out as one of the largest Suzuki Big Bikes clubs in the Philippines, playing a pivotal role in promoting the growth and popularity of Suzuki Big Bikes in the country. The club has been actively involved in advocating for safe riding practices and has organized charity rides to give back to the community, showcasing their commitment to responsible motorcycling.
