NLEX Road Warriors Hosts Inaugural Coaches Camp in Bulacan

The NLEX Road Warriors (NRW) officially launched their inaugural Coaches Camp on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Bulacan, with over 35 barangay and school coaches participating. This initiative is part of NLEX Corporation’s efforts to uplift communities through sports and leadership development.

Donna Faylona-Marcelo, NLEX Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management, highlighted the camp’s broader goals:
“Through this activity, NLEX hopes to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. We want to inspire participants to become great coaches and grow as better leaders. Coaching extends far beyond the court—it’s about fostering discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.”

Marcelo added that the lessons from the camp go beyond basketball, emphasizing the value of strategy, mentorship, and life skills.

The event featured interactive activities led by NRW players Sean Anthony and Asi Taulava, alongside Coaches Camp Head Larry Fonacier. Participants engaged in skill demonstrations and discussions aimed at improving their coaching approach. Fonacier expressed his gratitude, saying:
“Basketball has always been a sport that has given us so much, and NLEX is eager to share its knowledge and resources with the community.”

This initiative underscores NRW’s dedication to fostering grassroots basketball and empowering local leaders. The Coaches Camp caravan is set to visit other northern provinces. For updates, follow the NLEX Road Warriors Facebook page.
