Brand preference is a major driving force in today’s highly competitive consumer market. Whether it’s food, clothing, gadgets, e-commerce, or digital wallets, a strong brand can make all the difference in determining a business’s success. In the Philippines, where competition for what consumers need and want is intense, this holds especially true.

The auto industry is no different. Brands like Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Nissan consistently dominate local sales, as reflected in the latest CAMPI report. But one automaker recently earned a spot in a broader playing field by being recognized as one of the top 50 most preferred brands by Filipinos – Ford, the iconic blue oval from the United States.

The recognition comes from Campaign, a global media group that tracks market trends across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore. In its latest list, Ford Philippines ranks 44th among the top 50 brands preferred by Filipinos. Toyota Motor Philippines sits higher on the list, while Honda Cars Philippines follows.

According to Campaign, trust, quality, and smooth customer experience are key factors for Filipino consumers, particularly during challenging economic times. In a world saturated with content from social media, television, and print, Filipinos are becoming more discerning. They now place greater emphasis on a brand’s credibility and the value its products or services deliver for their hard-earned money.

“We thank our customers for choosing a Ford as their daily driver and our network of dealers for always ensuring our customers are well taken care of. We are inspired and motivated to take the Ford brand in the Philippines to greater heights,” said Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes.

Looking ahead, Ford Philippines says it is on track to further strengthen its performance in the second half of 2025. Plans include the rollout of its electrification program, which will bring new electrified models to broaden its lineup.

The company is also launching its dealership modernization initiative, Ford Signature 2025. This program will upgrade dealership facilities to enhance the overall customer experience before, during, and after a purchase. It will be supported by a new learning center dedicated to training Ford service technicians with advanced skills and knowledge, preparing them for the growing shift toward electrification in the auto industry.
