Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), in collaboration with its healthcare partner, SSMC Group of Hospitals and Clinics, recently organized a medical mission to assist a marginalized community in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
The mission took place in Sitio Hemedez, Brgy. Malitlit, which is home to approximately 180 families, or about 738 individuals, who face significant barriers to accessing essential healthcare services. Many of the residents work as industrial laborers or are employed in nearby factories, and their economic challenges often prevent them from affording necessary medical care.
In an effort to alleviate some of these struggles, MMPC’s medical mission offered a variety of services, including basic laboratory tests, medical and dental consultations, as well as the distribution of medicines, hygiene kits, and food packs. These efforts were aimed at enhancing the overall health and well-being of the community.
The mission was supported by a dedicated team of volunteers from both MMPC and SSMC. Leading the MMPC team were Marfel Ancheta, Vice President for Safety, Health & Environment, and Cristine Jumamoy, Senior Manager for the General Affairs Department.
