Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has officially recognized Standard Insurance Co., Inc. as the second End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) dismantling facility in the country to be included in the Toyota Global 100 Dismantlers Project. This global initiative aims to establish responsible ELV dismantling operations across key markets to support sustainability in the automotive industry.
Standard Insurance’s ELV dismantling operations primarily serve vehicles insured under its portfolio, processing approximately 850 units per year. Located at its technical and training center in Naic, Cavite, the facility covers about 8,840 square meters and can dismantle up to six vehicles per day. The project represents a PHP 17.8 million investment, highlighting the growing role of private sector participation in promoting responsible vehicle lifecycle management and advancing circular economy practices.
ELV dismantling facilities play a crucial role in reducing environmental impact by managing hazardous materials properly and recovering reusable parts and materials for reintegration into the manufacturing process. As the second Toyota-endorsed facility in the country, Standard Insurance strengthens the Philippines’ local capacity for ELV processing, supporting climate resilience and sustainability efforts aligned with global standards.
This endorsement marks Standard Insurance as the fifth facility to be included in the project within Southeast Asia. The company joins the initiative following the endorsement of En Tsumugi ELV Dismantler Corporation, which was introduced as the first local partner in Mexico, Pampanga in September 2024.

The Toyota Global 100 Dismantlers Project is a strategic program designed to address pressing environmental concerns such as pollution and resource depletion by promoting responsible vehicle disposal and material recovery. Standard Insurance has been a Toyota Insure program partner since 2021.
