SMC Infrastructure, the operator of SLEX, STAR Tollway, Skyway, NAIA Expressway, and TPLEX, is implementing measures to manage the heavy traffic expected during the Undas holidays. The company is coordinating with the Toll Regulatory Board, local governments, and other agencies to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Starting Thursday, Oct. 31, emergency services such as fire trucks, ambulances, and tow trucks will be on standby to assist motorists. To minimize delays, a moratorium on roadworks will be in place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5.
Motorists are encouraged to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before travel. It’s also important to have sufficient balance in their Autosweep RFID accounts and keep their cards ready. Tailgating should be avoided to allow proper RFID scanning, and defective RFID stickers can be replaced for free at toll plazas.
For emergencies, motorists can call the following hotlines: SLEX at 0917-687-7539, TPLEX at 0917-888-0715, STAR at 0917-511-7827 or 043-756-7870, and Skyway at 02-5318-8655.
SMC Infrastructure reminds motorists to follow traffic rules and drive safely to ensure a smooth journey during the holiday rush.
