IsuzuPH sets sights on aggressive growth under new leadership

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mikio Tsukui as its new President during a formal turnover ceremony attended by media and influencers. This leadership change marks a significant moment in IPC’s journey, with a focus on driving growth and innovation in the competitive Philippine automotive market.

Mr. Tsukui takes over from Mr. Tetsuya Fujita, who has successfully led IPC and will now return to Japan. A seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience within the Isuzu Group, Mr. Tsukui’s international expertise spans key markets in China, Europe, and ASEAN. His deep understanding of global operations and market dynamics makes him well-equipped to guide IPC in navigating the evolving automotive landscape.

Under Mr. Fujita’s leadership, IPC made significant strides in the industry, particularly through initiatives like the “Road to Progress” campaign, which sparked public interest in Isuzu’s EV truck offerings. IPC’s dealer network also grew significantly under his stewardship, and he introduced engaging customer activities like Overlanding trips, which strengthened the brand’s connection with Filipino consumers. Mr. Tsukui is committed to building on these achievements and further advancing IPC’s success.

“I am honored to take on the role of President of Isuzu Philippines Corporation,” Mr. Tsukui said in his inaugural speech. “Together with our talented team, we will continue to deliver innovative transport solutions while expanding our presence and impact within the Philippine automotive sector.”

Mr. Tsukui outlined his vision for IPC’s future, which includes solidifying Isuzu’s position as the number one truck brand in the Philippines, driving growth in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) market, and continuing to expand IPC’s dealer network across the country. These initiatives are set to boost IPC’s market share, enhance its competitive edge, and strengthen customer relationships.

“IPC is well-positioned for sustained success in an increasingly competitive market,” Mr. Tsukui added. “Our focus on durable, high-value vehicles and our commitment to exceptional aftersales service set us apart in the market. The trust of our customers is a testament to the enduring strength of the Isuzu brand.”

This leadership transition occurs as IPC prepares for the next phase of growth, following the recent unveiling of the 2025 Isuzu mu-X at the Manila International Auto Show. This event marks a renewed focus on design, innovation, and customer-centric enhancements, positioning IPC for future success in both the truck and LCV segments.

With Mr. Tsukui at the helm, IPC is poised to reinforce its dominance in the commercial vehicle market while driving growth in the LCV segment, ensuring the company’s continued leadership in the Philippine automotive industry.
