What makes a car company truly stand out is not only its ability to move vehicles off the showroom floor or post impressive sales numbers. Beyond the business of building and selling cars, the measure of a company’s worth is also seen in how it gives back to the communities it serves. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is one such example.
Recently, MMPC was recognized by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), a long-standing humanitarian organization, for its consistent support of voluntary blood donation initiatives. During the PRC’s Blood Donation Recognition and Awarding Ceremony held in Laguna, MMPC received the Blood Service Platinum Award, a distinction given to partners who have shown strong commitment to sustaining the blood supply through regular donation drives.
The event carried the theme, “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives,” and gathered both individual and corporate donors to acknowledge their role in keeping PRC’s mission alive. For MMPC, the recognition was the result of years of effort—specifically, 896 blood units collected over the last five years. In 2024 alone, the company contributed 207 blood bags, totaling 93,150cc, from its organized mobile donation activities.
But the honor extended beyond the organization. Several employees were also singled out for their personal contributions. Kevin Reglos, Joselle Memije, Gerardo Yamsuan, and former staff member Dominador Advincula, Jr. were each recognized for giving more than a gallon of blood over time, underscoring how volunteerism runs deep within the MMPC workforce.

For PRC, voluntary blood donation remains a vital public service that saves countless lives every year. The organization once again emphasized the need for continuous support to ensure patients always have access to a safe and sufficient blood supply.
MMPC’s years of commitment have played a vital role in keeping the cause alive, showing the strength of its ongoing partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.
