Every July is National Disaster Resilience Month, a time that honors the Filipinos’ enduring “bayanihan” spirit to survive and rise again when disaster strikes. This spirit was once again on full display last month, as Typhoons Crising, Dante, Emong, along with the seasonal habagat, brought torrential rains and widespread flooding to various parts of Luzon and Metro Manila. Beyond the casualties and damage to property and livelihood, the floods also left thousands of vehicles submerged and in need of urgent repair.

In response, several car brands stepped up with relief efforts, rescue missions, and service support for flood-affected customers. One of them is Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), which recently launched its “Support On Standby” or SOS program.

The Mitsubishi SOS program began last August 6 and will run until November 6, 2025, across all DTI-accredited Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide. It was created to help ease the financial burden of repairs by offering lower prices on replacement parts.

Specifically, the SOS program offers up to 30% discount on select genuine Mitsubishi parts for vehicles damaged by the recent flooding. This includes critical vehicle components such as electronic modules, engine parts, and other flood-exposed systems.

MMPC clarified that only vehicles brought in during the program period and serviced at authorized Mitsubishi service centers are eligible. The 30% discount applies strictly to repairs that use genuine Mitsubishi parts for all models officially distributed by MMPC.

“This program reflects our strong commitment to supporting our customers during difficult times. We understand that our customers rely on their vehicles, not just for convenience, but also for their livelihoods and families. Their trust in Mitsubishi is something we value deeply, and this program is one way we can give back by helping them recover quickly,” said MMPC After Sales Executive Vice President Toko Imai.

MMPC is encouraging all affected customers to bring their flood-damaged vehicles to the nearest Mitsubishi dealership for proper evaluation and repair. Certified dealer personnel and trained service technicians are on standby, ready to assist.
