ACMobility, the mobility solutions arm of the Ayala Group and a leader in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, is expanding its charging network throughout Makati, one of Metro Manila’s top sustainable cities. By the first quarter of 2025, Makati will feature 74 fully operational EV charging points across 18 locations, including offices, malls, condominiums, and more. This expansion aims to provide both residents and visitors with easy access to cutting-edge charging stations, solidifying Makati’s position as a central hub for electric mobility.
“ACMobility is thrilled to support Makati’s mobility infrastructure by providing a comprehensive charging network that ensures convenient and efficient solutions for everyone,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility. “As a key city in our EV ecosystem expansion, Makati demonstrates the potential of electric mobility in urban environments. We are committed to meeting its evolving needs as it moves toward a greener future.”
Makati: A Prime Hub for Sustainable Mobility
Makati has long been recognized as a leader in sustainability within Metro Manila. With its eco-friendly initiatives and commitment to responsible governance, the city sets the standard for urban sustainability. Programs such as barangay-level recycling centers and strict waste management regulations reflect the city’s dedication to environmental stewardship.
These efforts, combined with Makati’s strategic location and forward-thinking policies, make it an ideal setting for sustainable mobility. ACMobility’s expansion of electrified transportation solutions is a natural fit within this framework.
“As one of the country’s most sustainable cities, Makati continues to lead the way in building a future-ready urban environment,” said Abigail “Abby” Binay, Mayor of Makati City. “The expansion of ACMobility’s EV infrastructure will integrate cleaner technologies into the daily lives of Makatizens. We look forward to extending these charging stations beyond the business district, ensuring that all members of the Makati community can enjoy the benefits of electric vehicles.”
ACMobility’s Growing EV Charging Network in Makati
As part of its continued expansion, ACMobility is enhancing Makati’s EV charging network to make sustainable urban mobility accessible to commuters, residents, and visitors alike. With 47 charging points already operational, the network serves a variety of locations, including offices, transport terminals, residential areas, and commercial spaces. Notable sites include carparks at Valero 2, Dela Rosa 1, the Makati Stock Exchange, and Solaris One, all strategically positioned for optimal accessibility.
In partnership with Ayala Land and the Makati Central Estate Association (MACEA), ACMobility plans to add 27 more charging points by Q1 2025, including 19 DC fast chargers that significantly reduce charging times. Key locations such as Corinthian and Legaspi car parks will feature ultra-fast chargers to further enhance convenience for EV users across the city.
Additionally, several charging stations will operate 24/7 to accommodate late-night and early-morning commuters, providing reliable options for Makati’s dynamic and fast-paced lifestyle.
Driving the Future of Mobility in the Philippines
ACMobility’s continued growth across Makati and the Philippines is a vital part of its mission to accelerate the country’s transition to electrified transportation. By offering accessible, state-of-the-art charging solutions, ACMobility is helping drive the shift to cleaner, more efficient transportation, ensuring that the necessary infrastructure is in place to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.
“We are proud to support Makati in becoming a benchmark for sustainable urban mobility,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility. “This is only the beginning. We look forward to bringing the same level of commitment and innovation to other cities, ensuring the EV infrastructure keeps pace with the increasing adoption of electric vehicles and laying the foundation for a cleaner, more connected future.”
