Toyota Motor Philippines has quietly added a new range-topping variant to the Yaris Cross lineup. Called the Yaris Cross SE, this model brings sportier styling cues and added in-car features, further strengthening Toyota’s ongoing push for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) in the country.
The SE commands attention with its more dynamic exterior. Redesigned front and rear bumper skirts give the vehicle a more aggressive stance, while black trims on the grille, lower door panels, and rear bumper add contrast. Chrome accents are also present in key areas to break up the dark surfaces, and a black tailgate-mounted spoiler finishes off the look.
Inside, Toyota adds a few upgrades exclusive to the SE. Leading the list is a digital rear-view mirror that comes with front and rear video recorders—basically a built-in multi-angle dashcam setup that can help document drives and add peace of mind. Ambient lighting enhances the cabin’s atmosphere, while a digital signal processor improves audio quality.

Toyota has also equipped the SE variant with its full Toyota Safety Sense suite. This means the vehicle comes with driver-assist technologies such as pre-collision warning, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control—safety systems aimed at preventing accidents and easing the drive.
Powering the Yaris Cross SE is the same 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with an electric motor, delivering 90 hp and 121 Nm of torque. The system is mated to a CVT. Toyota claims this setup delivers both fuel efficiency and lower emissions—part of its broader effort to promote eco-conscious mobility.

The new Toyota Yaris Cross SE is now available nationwide, with a suggested retail price of P1,690,000.
