Geely Auto has taken a bold step forward in the hybrid segment with the official debut of the all-new Geely A7, a plug-in hybrid sedan that redefines what consumers can expect from electrified mobility. Showcased at the Geely Science and Art Museum in Chongqing, the A7 seamlessly blends technological advancement with comfort, safety, and intelligent design.
The A7 is the first sedan developed on the GEA architecture, and with it comes the new Geely EM Super Hybrid 2.0 system—an engineering feat that delivers ultra-low fuel consumption of just 2.67 liters per 100 km and a total driving range of over 2,100 km. This is made possible by the highly efficient hybrid engine, boasting a 47.26% thermal efficiency—currently unmatched in mass-production hybrids.
The sedan sets new benchmarks in its class with a generous wheelbase of 2,845 mm and body length of 4,918 mm, resulting in a 4.2-square-meter cabin that offers superior legroom and rear passenger comfort. Further enhancing the interior experience are the model-exclusive “Cotton Candy” 10-layer SPA seats with 14-point massage functionality, along with 28 storage spaces and a sizable 535-liter trunk for ultimate practicality.
Stylistically, the A7 blends classic sedan proportions with modern, electric vehicle-inspired design cues. A prominent integrated headlight bar and signature “Sunrise” rear lighting add to its striking profile, while 21 aerodynamic features help lower drag to Cd 0.229—boosting range and efficiency.
The cabin follows a luxury-inspired three-tier design, merging high-end materials with comfort-enhancing features like class-leading ambient lighting, music-enabled headrests, and expansive glass panels that increase natural illumination.
Technology takes center stage in the A7’s Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit, which leverages AI-backed computing power of up to 23.5 EFLOPS. The system supports voice-activated control, visual navigation, and comprehensive connectivity with smartphones and other smart devices.
Safety innovations are a major highlight. The Short Blade Battery Safety System has been stress-tested against extreme scenarios, from high heat to water immersion and physical impact. Furthermore, the A7 introduces an exclusive dual-motor backup (P1 and P3) technology, providing redundancy for uninterrupted driving even in the event of powertrain issues—a feature unseen in other hybrids or EVs.
In every aspect—from fuel economy and range, to spaciousness and intelligent safety—the Geely A7 is positioned as a formidable contender in the global sedan arena and a model that signals Geely’s forward-looking direction in hybrid mobility.
