The future of mobility is here, and BYD is bringing it straight to young Filipinos. From February 10 to 12, 2025, students, faculty, and staff at De La Salle University (DLSU) got an exclusive look at BYD’s cutting-edge electric and hybrid vehicles during the first-ever BYD Tech Tour. Held in partnership with ACMobility and DLSU’s Eco Archers Team, the event highlighted the exciting shift toward sustainable transportation.
“As we introduce more Filipinos to the future of mobility, engaging students is a key step in shaping a greener tomorrow,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Through this showcase, we hope to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of leaders to embrace sustainable technology.”
A Closer Look at BYD’s Latest EV Innovations
The BYD Tech Tour gave attendees the chance to explore the Sealion 6 DM-i, Seagull, and Seal—some of the most advanced EVs on the market today. Live demonstrations allowed guests to experience these vehicles up close, with BYD specialists answering questions about performance, features, and sustainability benefits. The event also featured interactive activities and exclusive giveaways from ACMobility.
But that’s not all. The DLSU Eco Archers Team unveiled their Zeta Urban Concept, a highly efficient vehicle that recently competed in the Shell Eco-Marathon in Indonesia. This was its first public appearance since the competition, making it a special moment for students and faculty alike.
