Back in 1993, Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, the Duke of Richmond, hosted what was essentially a Sunday-only “car meet” and “mini track day” at his Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, southern England. Thirty-two years on, that small gathering has evolved into one of Britain’s most iconic and highly anticipated events for car enthusiasts and motorsport fans alike—the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS), happening this year from July 10 to 13, or July 11 to 14 if you’re tuning in from the Philippines.

The Goodwood FOS is a long weekend celebration that brings together the general public, racing aficionados, celebrities, collectors, privateers, and car brands for a shared love of speed, machines, and motorsport culture. It’s a place where conversations flow as easily as exhaust notes, and where the rarest, fastest, and most historic vehicles get their time to shine.

At the heart of it all is the legendary 1.16-mile (1.86 km) hillclimb course—complete with nine corners and a sweeping bend right in front of Goodwood House. Each year, this stretch becomes the proving ground for an eclectic mix of machinery: from Formula 1 and Le Mans racers, to World Rally icons, Super Touring cars, vintage motorcycles, modern hypercars, electric prototypes, and even big rigs. For manufacturers, it’s also an opportune moment to showcase their latest offerings or tease upcoming models just before launch.

One of the brands headlining this year’s edition is Alpine. As part of their 70th anniversary celebration, the French marque is making a strong statement with the debut of the Alpine A290 Rallye. Also set to appear are their A290 road car, the beloved A110, and a daily showcase from the BWT Alpine Formula One team to highlight the brand’s motorsport pedigree.

Another name to watch is Lotus. The British outfit will take center stage with the highly anticipated Theory 1 Concept. But that’s not all—the brand will also pay tribute to its storied Formula 1 legacy with a special display honoring racing greats Ayrton Senna and Jim Clark.

Maserati’s bringing the Italian flair in full force. Expect to see the GT2 Stradale, a street-ready version of their race-winning GT2, front and center. They’re also showing off the powerful new GranCabrio with 490 horses under the hood, plus the aggressive MCXtrema in its head-turning Blue Xtrema finish. And that’s just the start.

Subaru, meanwhile, is making a much-awaited return through Subaru Motorsports USA. Expect high-energy runs from the team’s WRX: Project Midnight with Scott Speed behind the wheel. This car made headlines last year by becoming the fastest internal combustion vehicle to climb the Goodwood Hill. Rally legend Travis Pastrana is also confirmed to appear, bringing along his Subaru WRX ARA25 rally car for what’s sure to be another crowd favorite.
