Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) recently strengthened its commitment to supporting disaster response efforts by donating two additional H-100 units to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-NCR) Field Office. These vehicles bring the total number of H-100 units contributed by HMPH to four, further enhancing the DSWD’s capacity to deliver aid and relief services in response to the Philippines’ frequent natural disasters. The turnover ceremony was held at the DSWD Sanctuary Center in Mandaluyong City, underscoring HMPH’s dedication to providing reliable mobility solutions to Filipinos.
The initial donation in 2023 of two H-100 units has already proven invaluable, significantly bolstering the DSWD’s operational efficiency. These vehicles have enabled timely delivery of emergency supplies and services to disaster-stricken communities, aligning with the agency’s mission of rapid and effective relief response.
Key representatives from both organizations attended the ceremony. Present from HMPH were President Jiho Son, Managing Director Cecil Capacete, and Chief Finance Officer Hongshik Chin. Representing the DSWD were Regional Director Atty. Michael Joseph Lorico, Assistant Regional Director for Administration Benchie Gonzales, and Assistant Regional Director for Operations Bienvenido Jr. Barbosa.

In his remarks, HMPH President Jiho Son expressed pride in the partnership with the DSWD. “Last year, we donated two H-100 units to support DSWD’s disaster response and outreach operations. Today, we deepen our commitment with additional units. This donation not only strengthens our collaboration but also reflects Hyundai Motor’s vision of ‘Progress for Humanity.’ We are honored to support the DSWD in uplifting the lives of Filipinos.”
