Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), through its dealership, Isuzu Manila, has successfully delivered 10 brand-new Isuzu NLR77 Class 2 Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) to the Lungsod Silangan Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LSTSMPC). This delivery underscores the cooperative’s ongoing dedication to providing passengers with modern, safe, and comfortable transportation along the Cogeo to Cubao route.
With this addition, LSTSMPC’s fleet now includes a total of 111 modern PUVs, further solidifying its standing as one of the largest transport operators in Antipolo City. The Isuzu NLR77 PUVs are equipped with a 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel engine, delivering 106 PS of maximum power and 230 N-m of torque—perfectly suited for carrying heavy loads and numerous passengers, all while ensuring excellent fuel efficiency.
Built to comply with the Philippine National Standard (PNS), these new PUVs feature a Class 2 body configuration fabricated by CENTRO Manufacturing, an air-conditioning system by Country Cool, and an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) powered by BEEP. These elements come together to provide passengers with superior comfort and convenience for a seamless travel experience.
What sets Isuzu apart in the industry is its comprehensive aftersales support, a key factor in LSTSMPC’s decision to expand its fleet with Isuzu vehicles.
“We trust Isuzu for their strong aftersales service and the availability of parts, which are vital to keeping our operations running smoothly. With Isuzu, we experience minimal downtime, reasonable service costs, and reliable service packages, all of which reinforce our decision,” said Arcadio Inso, General Manager of LSTSMPC.
The financing for these new PUVs was made possible through the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), reflecting a trend of transport cooperatives like LSTSMPC turning to commercial banks for more flexibility in fleet expansion—particularly amid challenges in securing government-backed loans.

“We’re proud to be part of LSTSMPC’s journey toward modernizing public transport. Our focus will always be on delivering the best aftersales service to keep our customers’ operations running smoothly and efficiently,” said Art Silvestre, Branch Head of Isuzu Manila.
This delivery highlights IPC’s unwavering commitment to supporting the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program by providing high-quality, environmentally friendly, and customer-focused transportation solutions.
