Kia Philippines, under ACMobility, proudly announces the graduation of the inaugural batch of cadets from the Kia Technician’s Boot Camp (KTBC), a key initiative in developing highly skilled automotive technicians for both local deployment and global competition. This milestone not only enhances local talent but also provides select cadets the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Kia World Skills Cup in Seoul, South Korea.
“Through the KTBC program, we are building strong foundations for Filipino technicians to thrive in an increasingly complex automotive landscape,” said Rommel Ramos, Aftersales Director of Kia Philippines. “Our vision is to develop professionals who are globally competent and ready to lead in the future of mobility.”
Initiated in September 2024, KTBC delivers advanced training in vehicle servicing, covering traditional, hybrid, and electric powertrains. The curriculum goes beyond technical instruction, incorporating leadership development, character building, and brand-centric values to shape well-rounded professionals.
Held at the Kia Training Center in Carmona, Cavite, and executed in partnership with Don Bosco Makati and Batangas State University, the program provides cadets with practical experience in diagnostic systems, servicing standards, and advanced troubleshooting tools. These skills prepare graduates to handle both existing and emerging vehicle technologies with confidence.
KTBC aligns closely with international service protocols and includes modules on technical service bulletin interpretation, service process adherence, and diagnostics in noise, vibration, and harshness. Industry experts from ACMobility also conduct sessions focused on ethics, behavior, and professionalism.
The program’s impact is already evident. Fifteen graduates have joined Kia’s dealership network, contributing to service operations nationwide. Many of these individuals come from underserved communities, now empowered with technical skills and the potential for international opportunities.
The second intake of cadets is scheduled for August 2025, continuing the program’s mission of developing exceptional talent to support Kia’s growth and innovation in the Philippines.
“KTBC represents our commitment to service excellence and professional development,” Ramos concluded. “As we redefine mobility, we are also shaping a new generation of technicians—equipped to deliver world-class service and prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.”
