Chinese carmakers OMODA and JAECO are now selling the C5 and E5 models at their new Manila and Cebu dealerships. The first OMODA and JAECOO showrooms are located on Marcos Highway, Pasig City, and at G-Mall in Cebu City.

With 2024 marking their inaugural year in the Philippine market, OMODA and JAECOO have reached several key milestones. These include the arrival of the initial batch of their vehicles, as well as the formation of strategic partnerships with BDO, Security Bank, Bank of China, ICBC, and DB Schenker. The OMODA C5 and E5, which arrived in the Philippines last August, began pre-sales during the 12th Philippine EV Summit and the Auto Focus Pre-Christmas Multibrand Test Drive Festival.

“We’ve made great strides this year that lay a strong foundation for our 2025 plans. We’re excited to see our first models on Philippine roads and offer Filipinos a chance to experience our unique automotive engineering,” said Abner Berdos, Vice President of OMODA and JAECOO Motor Philippines, during an exclusive media thanksgiving dinner on December 11 in Quezon City.

The OMODA C5, the brand’s first vehicle innovation, is the first to hit the Philippine market. With its “Cross F Future” design philosophy, the OMODA C5 is packed with advanced features, including a Smart Key with Remote Engine Start and a Voice Control Command System. It is available in three variants, all priced below PHP 1.3 million:

  • Premium Variant – ₱1,279,000.00
  • Comfort Variant – ₱1,159,000.00
  • Lifestyle Variant – ₱998,000.00

The OMODA E5, the brand’s debut electric vehicle, offers a WLTP-rated range of 430 km and fast-charging capabilities, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes. It comes in two variants, with the Comfort variant including a free 7kW wall charger. Prices for the E5 are below PHP 1.7 million:

  • Premium Variant – ₱1,699,000.00
  • Comfort Variant – ₱1,649,000.00

OMODA and JAECOO offer an extensive bumper-to-bumper warranty, with up to 84 months or 200,000 km coverage (10 years or 1 million km for internal combustion engines) and 60 months or 160,000 km warranty for electric motors and batteries (8 years or 160,000 km).

Looking Ahead to a Bold 2025

Building on the success of 2024, OMODA and JAECOO Philippines are poised for a major expansion in 2025. Several new models, featuring advanced technologies and innovative features, will be showcased at the Manila International Auto Show in April 2025.

One of the most anticipated new releases is the JAECOO EJ6, which was unveiled at the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit in October. This off-road-capable electric vehicle, with a six-in-one motor system and full-time electric four-wheel drive, promises unmatched power and off-road performance. The EJ6 also features a camping mode and spacious design, making it ideal for adventurous drivers.

“The support we’ve received this year has made 2024 a key milestone for OMODA and JAECOO,” said Terry Hu, Country Director of OMODA and JAECOO Motor Philippines. “We are excited to build on this success and introduce more innovations in 2025, bringing our unique automotive engineering to the Philippine market.”
