OPPO has announced the return of its annual global mobile photography competition, the OPPO Photography Awards 2025. This year’s edition promises to be the most inclusive and rewarding yet, inviting users worldwide to explore the beauty in everyday life through the lens of OPPO’s advanced mobile imaging technology.
With over one million submissions from 81 countries in previous editions, the Awards continue to grow in scope and ambition. The 2025 competition expands to eight diverse categories—Snapshot, Youth, Live Photo, Connection, Portrait, Vibe, Photo Series, and Environment—encouraging participants to share meaningful, spontaneous, and culturally resonant stories.
“The OPPO Photography Awards reflect our vision of merging cutting-edge technology with emotional storytelling,” said Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of OPPO. “With LUMO, our latest imaging platform, we aim to deliver not just clarity and color, but feeling and depth in every frame.”
This year introduces an enriched prize structure that includes Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards, as well as new recognitions such as Jury’s Choice, Audience’s Choice, Regional Awards, and Youth accolades. A globally respected jury, including Magnum Photos’ Alec Soth and fashion photographer Trunk Xu, will guide the selection process.
Central to the Awards is OPPO’s LUMO Imaging System, which redefines mobile photography by integrating precision optics with computational processing. The result is visually rich, emotionally charged imagery that captures not only what moments look like, but how they feel.
