In March, ACMobility, the official local distributor of BYD Cars Philippines, rolled out the Shark 6 DM-O, BYD’s contender in the hybrid pickup segment. Offered in base and advanced trims, the Philippine-spec Shark 6 DM-O is available in three colors: Deep Sea Blue, Cosmos Black, and Aurora White.
Those options already give the Shark 6 DM-O a sharp, clean look. But imagine if it came in colors that turned heads even more.
That’s exactly what BYD Australia has done. Down under, the Shark 6 DM-O, or “ute” as pickups are called there, gets a boost in style with two fresh paint choices. Joining Tidal Black, Great White, and Deep Sea Blue are the new Outback Orange and Grey Mist.
Outback Orange turns the Shark into an instant attention-grabber. Its bold, fiery tone paired with blacked-out trims adds a sporty, adventurous edge. It’s a color that matches the machine’s muscle. Powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and electric motor, it churns out a combined 435 hp and 650 Nm of torque.
Grey Mist, meanwhile, plays it cool. With its understated hue and standard black trims, it works as well in city traffic as it does on dirt trails. It’s a versatile shade for those who want a rugged, go-anywhere look without shouting for attention — fitting for an all-wheel-drive hybrid built to tackle both urban streets and off-road tracks.
Apart from these new colors, BYD Australia keeps everything else in the Shark 6 DM-O unchanged, according to Drive.
