Astara, now the official distributor of JAC vehicles in the Philippines, has confirmed it will honor the warranties of all JAC units sold before it assumed control of the brand’s local operations.
This means owners of models such as the S2, S3, and T8 pickup can still count on warranty coverage, provided their claims meet the original terms agreed upon at the time of purchase.
The announcement comes as Astara works to take full charge of JAC’s sales and aftersales operations in the country. The company says it has already partnered with existing service centers to ensure a steady supply of parts and uninterrupted warranty repairs.
To streamline the process, Astara is preparing to launch a dedicated website where JAC owners can register their vehicles for free. This will help the company keep track of warranty status and coordinate service schedules more efficiently.

“We want JAC owners to know they’re not being left behind,” said Dong Magsajo, Astara Philippines media affairs director. “This enrolment program will make it easier for us to serve them, and easier for them to get the support they deserve.”
The initiative aims to reassure customers following the change in distributorship, a period that often raises questions about service continuity. Astara is also set to introduce new JAC models in the near future while maintaining full support for the current lineup.
For now, JAC owners can continue booking warranty and service appointments through authorized centers or Astara’s customer service channels. The enrolment website is expected to be available in the coming weeks.
