Improving its aftersales service, Foton Motor Philippines inaugurated its Davao Parts Warehouse Hub. The brand’s latest facility in Davao will reduce the lead time in delivery of spare parts in the southern region of the country.
The huge parts warehouse, located in Panacan, Davao City, measures 1,600 square meters. It was opened in partnership with logistics and supply chain management specialists 888 FastEasy Inc. and J&T Express Philippines.
“We are privileged to enter this highly strategic partnership with two stalwarts in the transportation and logistics industries, 888 FastEasy Inc. and J&T Express Philippines. With our Davao Parts Warehouse Hub, we will be able to offer an even more enhanced aftersales experience to all FOTON customers in the southern region by reducing delivery lead time of spare parts,” declared Foton Motor Philippines general manager Levy Santos.
“Foton was the first Chinese automotive company to enter the highly competitive Top 10-ranked car brands in the Philippines. We have what it takes to offer the same or even better level of service as more established automotive brands from Japan, Korea, Europe and America,” added Santos.
The spare parts inventory includes not just the usual fast-moving preventive maintenance parts and wear-and-tear items like spark plugs, filters, lubricants, and brake pads, but even collision replacement body parts like bumpers, grilles, headlights, and taillights. There is even an inventory of internal engine parts like valves, pistons and crankshafts.
“We can practically build a whole vehicle with our inventory, so if you have had experiences of having to wait long for parts with other brands before, we try to make sure that you don’t repeat that experience with Foton,” said Santos.
And it is not just a matter of stockpiling a high volume of spare parts. The Davao Parts Warehouse Hub boasts a sophisticated inventory management system to ensure the most efficient movement of spare parts to and from the warehouse, which is managed and operated by highly trained Foton staff.
