IsuzuPH Retains Market Leadership with 43% Share in Truck Segment

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has maintained its lead in the local truck industry, posting a robust 43% market share from January to April 2025. According to data from CAMPI and TMA, IPC sold a total of 1,592 trucks during the first four months of the year, reinforcing its 25-year streak as the Philippines’ most trusted truck brand.

IPC President Mikio Tsukui attributes this performance to a consistent focus on customer needs and operational value.

“Being number one in the truck segment is not just about sales figures—it’s about offering long-term value to our clients,” Tsukui said. “Our trucks are engineered to last longer, operate more efficiently, and reduce total cost of ownership. Combined with our nationwide support infrastructure, Isuzu remains a key enabler for businesses aiming to maximize uptime and profitability.”

Segment Growth Driven by Innovation and Versatility

The Isuzu N-Series continues to drive volume, with 905 units sold—up 7.2% year-on-year. The series remains popular in the logistics and urban delivery segments, particularly with the AMT option providing enhanced driver comfort in congested city traffic.

Medium-duty truck sales followed closely at 545 units, posting a modest 2.4% increase over the same period last year. These units are frequently deployed in regional logistics and customizable for various configurations, offering flexibility to a wide range of industries.

Heavy-duty truck sales surged by 59%, totaling 142 units. The newly launched S&E Series contributed significantly to this growth, supported by strong demand from public works and infrastructure developments. These models offer advanced safety and efficiency features, such as Electronic Vehicle Stability Control and real-time driver coaching systems.

Comprehensive Customer Support as a Market Differentiator

Beyond product offerings, Isuzu’s ‘Isuzu Advantage’ aftersales program plays a pivotal role in sustaining market dominance. The program includes a nationwide dealership and parts network, Mobile Medic services for on-site support, and a team of technical experts providing field-based assistance.

Training initiatives for drivers and mechanics further strengthen the brand’s customer service framework, ensuring optimal vehicle operation and long-term satisfaction.

“With our strong performance at the start of the year, we are confident in our ability to maintain our leadership in 2025,” Tsukui concluded. “Our commitment to product reliability and customer support remains at the core of our operations.”
