Filipinos are talented and competitive in nature. We are known to make our names remembered by many in any competition. And with the rise of motorcycle riding as a sport, the need for more technical training courses is something inevitable. Having the right infrastructure, we will soon be making names in the world history of motorsports.
Addressing this need, KTM, the largest European motorcycle manufacturer with a reputation for high-quality premium race-ready two-wheel machines, launched the first-ever KTM Riders Academy last April 30, along with the new KTM 300 EXC TPI Six Days and KTM 350 EXC-F TPI Six Days at the Alviera Country Club in Porac, Pampanga.

The KTM program aims to make off-road motorcycling more accessible through safe and enjoyable experiences. Now, what’s in store for the rider? KTM Riders Academy will offer training courses in the techniques of offroad riding within a one or two-day program, depending on the course. It caters to riders of all skill levels – from complete beginners to seasoned riders seeking a tailored and effective way to hone their riding abilities.
Lucky students will undergo specific coaching on single-cylinder specialist enduro machines as well as on larger displacement, travel-oriented multi-cylinder motorcycles and will be trained by two of KTM Philippines’ elite instructors, Mr. Jermell F. Sevilla and Mr. Patrick North C. Orbe, both of whom were sent to Phuket, Thailand to train and get certified by KTM Master Trainers from Europe.
The KTM Riders Academy courses will take place in KTM Philippines’ newest off-road training facilities in Vermosa in Imus, Cavite and in Alviera in Porac, Pampanga. Both off-road training facilities were meticulously designed to simulate real-world off-road environments to better train students on proper off-road riding techniques and also to teach them how to maximize the true potential of their KTM motorcycles.
“Two years after production of the 790 CKD Family line (790 Duke, 790 Adventure S and 790 Adventure R) began at our KAMMI factory in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, I am happy to announce the introduction of two CKD models to the KTM Philippines lineup– the KTM 300 EXC TPI Six Days and KTM 350 EXC-F TPI Six Days, for both domestic and export markets. These high performance enduro motorcycles will soon be coming off fresh from the KAMMI factory and Ready to Race on the dirt, another testament to the Filipino talent,” said Dino Santos, President and CEO of KTM Philippines.
