In an exciting development, Formula 1 and Lenovo have announced an extension of their partnership, elevating Lenovo to the role of Global Partner in a multi-year agreement set to begin in 2025. As part of this enhanced collaboration, Motorola, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group, will become the Global Smartphone Partner of F1.
Since 2022, Lenovo has been instrumental in F1’s operations, providing state-of-the-art technology solutions that support the execution of Grands Prix both at the track and remotely. This renewed agreement includes Lenovo sponsoring two races per season and increasing branding presence for both Lenovo and Motorola at key events.
Lenovo’s innovative technology has played a pivotal role in delivering F1’s renowned broadcast experience, bringing thrilling moments to millions of fans globally. Their robust lineup of devices—including laptops, workstations, and Motorola smartphones—enables F1 staff to create engaging, tailored content for an ever-expanding audience.
Furthermore, Lenovo’s Asset Recovery Service aligns with F1’s commitment to sustainability, helping to ensure that retired hardware is recycled responsibly. Since the partnership began, 95% of obsolete equipment has been sustainably disposed of, reducing costs and enhancing data security through reliable destruction.
Highlighting Lenovo’s innovative spirit, the introduction of kiss-activated trophies at the recent FORMULA 1 LENOVO JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2023 and FORMULA 1 LENOVO UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2023 showcases a blend of tradition and technological advancement, enhancing the excitement of podium celebrations.
