Porsche is pleased to announce the launch of an exclusive sneaker collection celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo, featuring twelve distinct designs produced in collaboration with Puma. Each model is limited to 911 units, catering to the discerning tastes of Porsche aficionados.
Two of the sneakers in this collection honor historic Porsche vehicles, drawing inspiration from their renowned design features. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker is crafted in metallic silver, reflecting the legendary Porsche gifted to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, with the interior showcasing the classic red and blue tartan pattern of the first 911 Turbo.
The “Turbo 930” sneaker, presented in Oak Green Metallic, pays tribute to Dr. Ferry Porsche’s Turbo model from 1976. Its inner lining features the green tartan pattern found in Dr. Porsche’s vehicle. Both sneakers prioritize comfort, utilizing premium full-grain leather for the “Turbo No. 1” and nubuck leather for the “Turbo 930.”
Design Features and Symbolism
Key design elements include vintage turbo lettering on the exterior and a discreet Porsche logo, with a heel design that echoes the iconic “whale fin” of the rear spoiler and horizontal red tail lights. The heel also features a tonal Porsche Crest in 3D print. A removable plaque with 50th anniversary lettering enhances the front lacing. All models are built on the new motorsport-inspired Puma “Road Rider” sneaker silhouette.
Global Market Editions
Additionally, ten exclusive market editions will be available, each inspired by a particular Porsche 911 Turbo model from selected markets worldwide.
