Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has once again proven why it remains the country’s leading motorcycle brand. The company recently rolled out its 9-millionth motorcycle unit, a feat celebrated at its 20-hectare manufacturing facility in Tanauan City, Batangas.

This latest milestone underscores HPI’s commitment to providing Filipino riders with motorcycles that are reliable, high-quality, and environmentally friendly. With a wide range of models covering various categories and uses, HPI continues to cater to an expansive market of riders across the country.

Leading the ceremony was HPI President Takeshi Kobayashi, who shared that July 2025 marked the company’s highest monthly wholesale record at 96,600 units. That momentum pushed HPI to reach its 9-millionth production unit this August, highlighted by the Honda XRM125 DS—its enduring best-seller. Known for its versatility and toughness in both city streets and rural roads, the XRM has stood at the top of HPI’s lineup since its debut in 2007.

“HPI achieved the highest monthly wholesale record of 97,600 units last July 2025. Considering the positive momentum, we are confident that we can achieve more than 1 million units this year,” Kobayashi declared.

That confidence is well-founded. Energized by the 9-million milestone, HPI has set its sights on making 2025 a banner year. The company is determined to surpass the 1-million mark in both sales and production before the year ends, with efficiency and capacity expansion forming the backbone of this ambitious push.

Looking back, HPI’s journey through the Philippine motorcycle industry reflects decades of growth and resilience. It all began in May 1973, when the company started production at its first plant in Parañaque. By 2005, HPI reached its first million-unit milestone before moving its operations to Batangas, where it has since achieved record after record.
